Right, it seems like it’s taken an absolute age to get sorted, but the wait is almost
over.
“Jesus Jones – The Collection” will be out before the end of November. The cover photo is an unreleased shot from a session done by photographer Simon Fowler, back in 1989. There are other unseen photos in the booklet, as well as detailed sleeve notes by members of the band (past and present!)
The band has specially chosen the tracks on the first of the two discs – favourites from the whole of our recording career with EMI. There are b-sides, album tracks, and songs that don’t often get their moment in the spotlight.
For JJ fans though, we hope the second disc is where the real interest lies. There are 18 COMPLETELY UNHEARD tracks on it, from private demos, to songs that never quite made it to the albums. There are remixes and alternate versions. All of the songs come from the extensive archive of personal recordings belong to the band themselves, and are a taster of what’s to come once we start work on remastering and re-issuing the albums!
Initially, the album will be EXCLUSIVELY available from this website, and we hope to make initial copies of the disc even more special…
So – there’s even more news for you – we’ve been back in the studio! Work has just finished on two tracks as the starting point for our next project. This is the first new music we’ve made since 2018 when we finished “Passages”!
