The last Jesus Jones gigs for 2012 will take place in December 2012, as we head out on the road with The Stuffies AND the Poppies! Amazingly, this is the first time that all three bands have played on the same bill! How’s that for an Xmas present?
All three bands scored major hits throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s and have enjoyed playing to audiences at home and overseas ever since. As three of the UK’s biggest Indie bands of their era they come together for the very first time for these four exceptionally special shows.
Tickets are priced at £20.00 each and for a bill featuring these three bands performing their hits and more, you gotta agree it’s a snip!
The Wonder Stuff’s front man, Miles Hunt, had this to say about the tour, “Over the years we have had the pleasure of playing with both Pop Will Eat Itself and Jesus Jones, but never the three bands on the same bill. We have all have remained good friends since we the bands first formed back in the mid to late 80’s, so to have this opportunity to be together really is something quite special to all of us.”
Pop Will Eat Itself’s Graham Crabb had this to say, “PWEI are looking forward to teaming up with some great old friends for these Christmas shows. We will be playing classics old and new and promise plenty of surprises. Look forward to seeing you all there”
And Jesus Jones’ Mike Edwards added “We’re really looking forward to all being on the same bill together – the three of us bands have been intertwined for so long! The Stuffies gave us our first big break when we supported them back in 1989, and The Poppies were at the first gig of that tour as well. We’ve all been friends for over 20 years. So it’ll be amazing for us, but it’s going to be great for the fans too – for a lot of people, this is their dream line up. It’s the perfect Christmas present!”
